We were delighted to finally find ourselves in Spain and especially in Barcelona after having thought about travelling there for so long.  But now, our few days there felt precious and valuable, and we didn't want to waste them.  Jordan came to our rescue, with his vast knowledge not only of that city, but of the entire culture and history of the area. Travellers think they can absorb significant information from guide books, but in truth, all that dwelling over pages doesn't quite stay with you the way Jordan's personable and enthusiastic guide-work did. We not only had a guide in a new and wonderful place, we had a new friend. And it's important to note that his enthusiasm is contagious. It's one thing to wander a city, taking notes out of a book. It is completely another to have an exuberant and knowledgeable guide bring each place to life. His time with us was some of the most enjoyable we spent in our two weeks in Spain, and we continued to discuss things he'd pointed out to us all through our journey. If you want to really 'be' in Barcelona and know Barcelona, then excuse my informality, but... this dude rocks!
